I'm Looking for a Book, not just any book, one in particular...
I am looking for a book, but I don't know the title. Since alot of Popples read, I was hoping someone would know the title.
I was told about the book, but don't have contact with the person who told me anymore.
It's about, and written by (or from the point of view) of a guy with Aspberger Syndrome. Its supposed to be an interesting read, describing his thought process, and how he thinks others think and what they know based on what he knows.
All the chapters are numbered with only prime numbers, since the author only likes prime numbers.
Anyone have any idea? It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Post a CommentI have no clue but it certainly sounds very interesting. PPl with Aspbergers usually are very smart.

It's not Flowers for Algernon is it? Probably not. I don't think the chapters have only prime numbers. There is an entire chapter with a comma after every word though, directly after the guy learned about commas.

I thought that was "The Curious Incident of Dog in Night-time by Mark Haddon
Is that good, SPM? It sounds interesting.

whatever it is it sure sounds interesting!
I was also thinking that you were talking about
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Hark Haddon
The chapters are definitely written in prime numbers. I thought the kid was autistic though but not sure. I've only read it 1/3 of the way through so far and hadn't picked it up again yet.
I'm sorry, yes, he definitely has Asperger syndrome. It never says exactly in the book, but apparently does in the summary.
I think Asperger Syndrome is a form of Autism, or connected, thats the way I understand it. I was looking some things up, and now I wonder if its "Born on a Blue Day" but I want to read the "Curious Incident" too now.
Yeah, Its Born on a Blue Day, it sounds more like it. I remember being told about how he recalls days.
Now I have two to read.
That definitely sounds interesting. I'll look it up at my library.

Jinx you are correct. Asperger's is on the Autism spectrum. I heard this guy on NPR talking about his new book about life with asperger's but I don't remember his name or the title (but I don't think it was either that you alresdy mentioned). His brother wrote running with scissors.
The chapters being numbered in prime numbers was what made me think it was "curious". I haven't read either one. Sound good, though.
I have a friend with a son recently diagnosed with aspergers. I may have to pick up some of these books for her.
There were a couple things about Blue Day that made me think that might be the one that was discussed, its in first person, and he has an infactuation with infinite pi. But the chapter numbers being all in prime in the other one, makes me wonder. I'd like to read both now.
They both sound really interesting. I think I'll add them to my ever growing list as well.
