Please explain this program you are in, Jinx? I have never heard of such a thing. It sounds interesting.

Oh, I don't know if its everywhere, I wouldn't call it a program.
I was interested in meeting new people, and I ran into this thing called Meet Ups. Its on line, and you check off what you are intersted in. So some groups are politics, some poetry, pets, kids, etc.
Then you get emails letting you know where and when they are meeting up.
There's no obligation, since they just send an email.
I have never attended one, because of location or timing, but I continue to get it, because someday there just might be one that I'm interested in and can attend.

lol, I think both my BFF and myself can relate to this group, and saw the humour in it.

I used to be on Meetup.com, too. I was in a mom's group that my friend started. There were some other interesting topics that would show up on the weekly emails, too, though.

Its really cool, I wish there would be one that I want to go to, thats close enough and at a time I could make it.

Meet Ups sounds like a cool idea - especiallly if you were new to an area.
